New important recognition for Hexathron Racing Systems: the race engineering company based in Milan has been chosen by KIA Motors to develop the new KIA K3S race car managed by the official KIA Racing Team in 2014 China Touring Car Championship (CTCC). On track for the first time in the home race last weekend at Yeongam (South Korea), the two cars driven by Michael Soong and Lin Larry Le Feng finished the race in 8th and 10th place without any technical problems, a very positive result despite the few kilometers in the pre-race test.
Marco Calovolo (Hexathron Racing Systems): “After LADA and Lotus Cars, KIA Motors is a new brand that has chosen Hexathron Racing Systems for the development of its racing car: this is the best recognition for the work carried out by HRS team during the years. The debut with KIA Motors in the CTCC race in Korea was absolutely positive: the KIA K3S and KIA Racing Team have shown great potential considering that this was only the very first step of evolution. In the next rounds we will introduce further improvements in all components of the car. The target for 2014 is to gather the most information in order to be on top at the begin of next season.”
The next round of CTCC is scheduled on Beijing Goldenport circuit in the first weekend of October sharing the schedule with the tenth round of the FIA WTCC.
