Nascar Whelen Euro Series at the Bologna Motor Show

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7, December 2014 the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will be protagonist at the 39th edition of the Motor Show in Bologna, Italy with two exhibition races held with an exciting knockout format. The European NASCAR Series will then showcase one of its cars and welcome visitors in its booth (Pavilion 25, Area D7) until Sunday December 14.

The thundering V8 stock-cars of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will take center stage on the temporary track inside the Motorsport Arena, when eight drivers will face each other in a qualifying session and a knockout tournament that will lead to a best-of-three final, electing the winner. Another identical race will be held the following day, Sunday December 7, for the delight of the passionate Italian crowd.

Four teams and eleven drivers will animate the Italian weekend, proposing an exciting mix of expert NASCAR Whelen Euro Series racers and new entries. Italy will be the most represented country: CAAL Racing will field Gianmarco Ercoli on the #25 Chevrolet SS, while Nicolò Rocca will drive the #51. Roberto Benedetti and Gian Maria Gabbiani will share the wheel of the #31 Chevy. Cesare Guazzini and Edo Varini will be on the #67 For Mustang for GDL Racing and the Italian team will also field the #68 Ford Mustang for Gianluca Quaderno and Renzo Calcinati and the #6 Ford Mustang for Maurizio Possumato. Two international entries will look to steal the show: Brazilian Victor Guerin will drive the #82 Brazil Team Chevrolet SS and young Belgian Guillaume Deflandre – a member of the NWES Drivers Program – will race the #83 NWES Junior Team Chevrolet SS.

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Serie will then be present with on eof its cars at the Motor Show all week long, until Sunday December 14, thanks a booth in the Pavilion 25, D7 Area and will welcome every visitor interested in the Series.
